We have released the September edition of our community mental health transformation newsletter.

What is the community mental health transformation?

The community mental health transformation is a national programme in the NHS Long Term Plan. This programme will ensure that the Trust works with primary care, local authorities, the voluntary sector and broader organisations to transform mental health care and support in the Black Country. The Trust aims to deliver care and support that is more accessible, flexible and tailored to suit an individual’s needs.

To help people understand this project, NHS England has created an animation:

We have created an animation to show how someone’s journey through services will change after the community mental health transformation:

In this edition of our newsletter, we focus on three key messages:

  • The theme of the month: Community Transformation – The Story So Far – watch our animation
  • Renaming our Integrated Community Teams – Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs)
  • Financial sign-off has been secured – comms to be sent shortly to explain the changes and information will be in the October newsletter
  • The impact of being involved in the community transformation

The latest edition of our newsletter is available to read on our website.

Please find more information, including previous editions of this newsletter, on our website.
