This event has now taken place.

NHS England have teamed up with parkrun UK to mark the NHS’s 75th anniversary this July.

NHS staff and volunteers, as well as local communities, are being encouraged to ‘parkrun for the NHS’ at parkrun events on Saturday 8 July or junior parkrun events on Sunday 9 July.

Whilst there are many local and national parkrun events you can choose to take part in, the Trust is delighted to be partnering with Sandwell Valley parkrun on Saturday 8 July.

Sandwell Valley parkrun provides a scenic 5k route where you will encounter historic ruins, a stunning swanpool and interesting wildlife along the way. You don’t have to be a runner to take part - walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate, it’s up to you!

We are hoping that as many people as possible will wear the NHS’s trademark blue or fancy dress and join us in the celebration!

Please register in advance before attending parkrun and don’t forget to bring your parkrun barcode!

If you’d like to show your support in another way, volunteer at Sandwell Valley parkrun on 8 July instead.
