Georgina Dean, our Chief Finance Officer will be leaving us at the end of August 2025, to take up the position of Executive Director of Finance at the North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.
After five years with the Trust, Georgina will be returning to the North East of England, where she previously worked almost 20 years’ ago. It also has a special place in her heart with family living in the region.
In her time at the Trust, Georgina has shown strong leadership, guiding us through a challenging financial landscape with a focus on using resources effectively to deliver quality care for our patients and communities. She has overseen significant estates programmes, including the recent opening of the Dorothy Pattison Older Adult Unit as part of our eradicating dormitory wards scheme. Additionally, Georgina has been instrumental in strengthening our Trust Charity and even participating in the Manchester Marathon to raise vital funds for our Brighter Lives charity.
Reflecting on her time with us Georgina said: “It has been a privilege to work at BCH for the past five years. I am consistently inspired by the dedication and commitment of the teams, both clinical and corporate, in doing the best for our patients. Having grown up in the Black Country it has been great to be able to work here and make a contribution to improving services for our population. I will miss the people and wish everyone the best for the future.”It has been a privilege to work at BCH for the past five years.
