Last month, Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust hosted our Black Country Awards for Talent and Achievement to recognise the dedication of our staff who go above and beyond to provide compassionate care to our communities.

The glittering ceremony, held at Grand Station in Wolverhampton on 20th October, was made possible by the support of our sponsors, whose sponsorship meant we were able to host a meaningful celebration for our teams in recognition of their amazing work.

Secure Healthcare Solutions were the headline sponsor of the event and their contribution to the evening was hugely appreciated.

A leading healthcare provider, the firm provides support to individuals who need home care, as well as providing temporary and permanent staffing solutions for nursing homes, children’s homes and mental health units. They also support vulnerable children and adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour in the community, ensuring they have access to activities for daily living.

Secure Healthcare Solutions provides staffing solutions to Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and they were delighted to support the awards to show their appreciation of NHS heroes and the work the Trust carries out across the Black Country.

Supporting the awards was a further example of the company’s commitment to giving back to the community. With an open approach to corporate social responsibility, Secure Healthcare Solutions has a track record of supporting their community: from sponsoring children’s dance schools and supporting the registered charity of Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, Wolves Community Trusts, to fundraising for play equipment for a vulnerable child.

As well as being the headline sponsor of the event, Secure Healthcare Solutions also kindly sponsored the category of Distinguished Service. This award recognised individuals who, through a long period of service at the Trust, have made a real difference to the lives of patients and fellow colleagues through their work.

Speaking on the chance to support the awards, Robbie Steeles from Secure Healthcare Solutions said it was: “An exceptional opportunity to work alongside Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s awards ceremony to see the dedication and passion people go through to give care to the community.”

Ann Detheridge, head of psychology for the Older Adults Mental Health Division, took home the trophy for her vital work in supporting both patients and the wellbeing of staff. Her nomination described her as being extremely hard working and praised her for prioritising staff support as well as striving for the best outcomes for patients.

Many thanks to Secure Healthcare Solutions for being the headline sponsor of the Black Country Awards for Talent and Achievement and helping us celebrate our amazing staff.
