Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has released the latest community mental health transformation newsletter.

The community mental health transformation is a national programme detailed in the NHS Long Term Plan. This programme will ensure that the Trust works with primary care, local authorities, the voluntary sector and wider organisations to transform mental health care and support in the Black Country. The Trust aims to deliver care and support that is more accessible, flexible and tailored to suit an individual’s needs.

NHS England has created an animation which explains what the community mental health programme is:

The April edition of the community mental health transformation newsletter includes information on the three workstreams: Core Offer, Access, and Support and Intervention, including their objectives and progress to date. You can also read an overview of an online event that the Trust held in March, along with information about how people can get involved in shaping mental health services in the Black Country.
