People across the Black Country are invited to have their say on transforming community mental health services at an online event this month.

Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is hosting the event to explore the transformation of mental health services in the community on Tuesday 21 March, from 9am to 11am.

The webinar provides the opportunity for more people to share their views on the topic following on from a successful in-person event in February.

It comes as the Trust is developing a new way of working for community mental health services for adults and older adults, to modernise services in line with the needs of people in Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton.

Kelly Plant, Operational Delivery Manager Community Mental Health Transformation said: “As the lead provider for mental health services in the Black Country, our goal is to provide high-quality, person-centred care in the local community to support everyone to live happier, healthier lives.

“A vital aspect of achieving this is through listening to what people have to say about their experiences of mental health services and support, which is why we are encouraging people across the Black Country to get involved.

“During the event you will learn about what we aim to achieve, what we have achieved so far and how you can get involved to help shape your community mental health services.

“Whether this is your first time attending one of our events or you have followed our community mental health transformation from the beginning, everyone is welcome.

“No matter how big or small, your contribution matters.”
