Black Country Healthcare has launched its new Trust Strategy 2025-2030 and refreshed Clinical Strategy at its Annual General Meeting that took place on 11 December 2025, at the Brasshouse Community Centre in Smethwick.
These strategies, which were approved at the Trust's November Board meeting, mark an important milestone for our organisation as we set out our vision for the future and the practical steps to achieve it.
Both strategies have been shaped by the voices of our patients, carers, partners, and staff. We listened carefully to feedback from across our communities to ensure our plans reflect what matters most to those we serve and those who deliver care every day.
Our Trust Strategy 2025–2030 sets out our shared vision; Together with you to achieve healthier, happier lives , underpinned by our CARE values: Compassionate, Accountable, Respectful, and Empowered. These values guide everything we do and help us be our best for the Black Country.
To turn our vision into reality, we have set four strategic objectives, our 4Ps:
- Patients: To provide considered, compassionate, person-centred and effective care in partnership with individuals and families.
- People: To have a sustainable workforce model, enabled through a compassionate and inclusive culture.
- Population: To work alongside our communities to understand our population better every day and enable person-centred change.
- Productivity: To maintain high-quality care that demonstrates value for money.
Our Clinical Strategy is a delivery vehicle for our Trust Strategy. It guides our approach to making the best use of our clinical resources and expertise, strengthening collective clinical leadership and multidisciplinary working across the Trust and in collaboration with patients, families, and carers.
The Clinical Strategy supports care close to home, new integrated neighbourhood health models, and uses our role as a system leader for mental health, learning disabilities, autism and children's services, to influence new community-focused models.
