Essential repair works will be taking place in the car park at Bushey Fields Hospital. These works have been carefully planned and phased to minimise disruption as much as possible.
The works will begin from Friday 13 March 2026 (after 4:00pm) and are expected to be completed by Monday 13 April 2026.
What’s happening:
- Phase 1 of the works will take place from Friday 13 March (after 4:00pm) to Wednesday 18 March 2026
- This phase will affect Areas 1 and 2 of the car park (as shown on the site map)
- Set‑up and safety fencing for these areas will be put in place from after 4:00pm on Friday 13 March

What this means for patients and visitors:
- Parking availability will be reduced in some areas during the works
- Please allow extra time when arriving for appointments or visits
- Follow on‑site signage and any instructions from staff while the works are taking place
- Safe pedestrian access will be maintained at all times
Getting here:
If you are attending an appointment or visiting someone in hospital, please consider arriving earlier than usual to allow extra time for parking. Where possible, patients and visitors may wish to consider using public transport or alternative travel routes during this period, as parking availability on site will be reduced.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience while these essential improvements are carried out.
Who can I contact?
If you have any questions or concerns about access or parking during the works, please contact the Estates and Facilities Helpdesk via 01902 443991 or bchft.eandfhelpdesk@nhs.net or speak to a member of staff on arrival.
