Rising star

This award commends an individual who has been with the Trust for three years or less and has made a significant impact in their role. They are very determined and it's clear they will go far in their chosen career. 

Inspirational leader

This award is not just for those in a management position, anyone at any level can be a leader and make a difference to service delivery. This award recognises someone who leads and empowers others to stretch themselves. We are looking for a role model who lives our Trust vision and values, and creates a positive impact in the development of those around them, through their leadership style and willingness to help people to be the best they can be.

Distinguished service 

This will be presented to an individual who is a long-serving member of staff (who has been with our organisation for at least six years) who has gone above and beyond their service to the Trust.

Clinical unsung hero

A clinical member of staff who regularly goes the extra mile to provide excellent service. They frequently go above and beyond the call of duty, clearly demonstrate the Trust values and put in additional effort to deliver safe, effective and high-quality care.

Non-clinical unsung hero

A non-clinical member of staff who regularly goes the extra mile to provide excellent service. They frequently go above and beyond the call of duty, clearly demonstrate the Trust values and put in additional effort to support colleagues and service users.

Divisional star

This award is for an individual or team who have made an exceptional contribution to the work of the division, have been innovative and supportive and led positive change. There is an award for each of the divisions:

  • CYPF
  • Mental health
  • Learning disabilities
  • Non-clinical/corporate
Working in collaboration

This award recognises an individual or team who exemplify working collaboratively with internal and external teams or departments to improve services and patient care.

Bank staff member of the year

A bank, agency or temporary staff member, whose skills and actions help the Trust exceed quality.

Volunteer of the year

This award is for a volunteer, expert by experience, governor or carer who has made a major difference to a patient, relative, colleague or team through their community-spirited commitment.

Award for research and innovation

This award recognises those who have shown dedication to research and innovation to improve the quality, safety, efficiency and effectiveness of patient care and experience. This could include the introduction of new ways of working, the development of new treatments, the use of new technology, the completion of new research, or innovative resource management that has achieved positive outcomes.

Learner of the year

This award recognises an individual who can demonstrate the impact training has had on themselves, their team or their service. It is open to all categories and could include for example – completing an apprenticeship, a university module or a leadership programme.

Award for equality and diversity champion

To recognise an impressive dedication to ensuring that equality and inclusion lie at the heart of their day-to-day work, and in their belief and commitment to the Trust, its vision, values, processes and behaviours, particularly with regard to the Equality Act protected characteristics.

Award for overcoming adversity

An award for an individual or team who have overcome very significant personal or professional challenges to deliver fantastic outcomes.

Values champion award (voted for by staff)

This award recognises individuals who operate with our Trust values at the forefront of their work, going above and beyond to support their colleagues. They will be caring, enable those aorund them, work in partnership with others and act with integrity.

Covid-19 multi-disciplinary team award

A multi-disciplinary team that went over and above their roles and made a positive and substantial impact on patients and families’ care during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Covid-19 non-clinical team award

Non-clinical teams that provided support and services throughout the Covid-19 pandemic and worked above and beyond their roles.

This award is for an individual in a non-clinical role that went above and beyond their role during the Covid-19 pandemic to support patients and colleagues.
